    How is this "pioneering" when Intel did this first like over 10 years ago? they had working models in their R&D facility

    Id like to know more about how it creates that "avalanche effect" - off to read the paper.

    btw typo in the middle paragraph "On the other wside of the equation a silicon detector doesn't work well with IR light sources..."
