    Intel to discontinue Core+ bundles (CPU + Optane Memory)

    Core i7+8700, i5+8400, and i5+8500 (entire desktop line) to reach end-of-life by 30th Sept.

    I bought a s1156 mobo with a view to upgrading later. They've been at it for years. My only upgrade path after just 1 year was via ebay.
