I tired the private beta last weekend and it felt mostly like the first one (which is good in some ways) but the performance was horrible and the frame rates were unplayable at times even with the same settings I was playing the first one in.
Drivers are really going to have to help out as at this stage I don't think they will be doing anything more to the game engine.
It's UBISoft expect it to only work properly on a single nVidia card. :(
Yes it is and it played flawlessly on my vega 64 at ultra settings. I enjoyed it and will beplaying the open beta as I already have a copy of the game that came with my gpu. :)
The game is better than I expected. Will be looking forward to play it although it's a shame the there is no crossplay - I would have loved to have gotten this game on the PC as opposed to the PS4 where all my friends will be playing!
I was excited until I played the beta. I'm no longer buying it. They've dumbed down the RPG elements so much that it's practically no longer one. No more class builds, no more mod system on weapons (instead there's just a collection of standard mods), no more stacking towards a certain ability, the UI is absolutely dreadful, the world is too bright and cheery, the enemies are still dumb as rocks, and they once again just increase the health pool when there's more players, instead of scripting the missions to include more/better NPCs.
Apart from the new sounds and punchiness of the guns, there isn't a single thing I like about it. I'm genuinely gutted because I've got hundreds of hours in Division 1
*AMD splash screen with loud noises*
Do did I, sadly I managed about 5 minutes prior to my PC giving up the ghost playing ANY game.
It also made enemies harder to spot...
I've got about 1500 hours in Division 1. Still looking forward to 2.
Oh I forgot to mention that - their HDR implementation means they've screwed non-HDR users. I had to enable HDR to be able to see enemies, especially indoors. They've put so much work in HDR that when it's disabled the colours are all blended together, it's truly dreadful.
"Pre-Order The Division 2 on PC and get a FREE PC game once your purchase is completed*!" says Ubisoft.
