So its (very slightly) cheaper to buy the 3 separate sets than it is to buy the pack that contains them all. Way to go Nintendo.

Ummm isn't the resolution of the switch way too low for this to make any sense? But I guess it's just a toy you use once and then throw away like the other Labo stuff.

Did you forgot the story with the melon pricings? something like 1 melon is 3 (money), 3 melons are 10 (money) so a guy buys 1 melon then asks to buy another one and then again asks to buy another one, and then starts to laugh in the face of the seller that he bought them cheaper that way, then the seller tells him, that only made him buy 3 melons instead of just one.

So its just marketing, and its better to just replace what you broke cheaper.

It's high enough res- remember google cardboard? Worked out really well even on really cheap low res smartphones. VR is special as to get a good experience you don't actually need high resolution screens.

Higher res will clearly look better, but it mostly affects text and actual video, rather than gaming.

Re: Nintendo Switch goes VR via upcoming Labo VR Kits

Isn't the Switch like a 5 year old device with a fairly low resolution, low PPI screen with average latency and refresh? And a processor that overheats after 10 minutes of gaming? That's going to be a VR nightmare!

Yeah, that's what Google says. A craptastic 720p 6.2" LCD screen. A mere 237 ppi! Even the PSVR which is regarded as universally 'meh' has 386 ppi, making it just barely good enough to prevent eye strain and headache.

I shed a tear for the suckers Nintendo sells this to.

Google will also tell you that the earth is flat, smoking tobacco is good for you and that brexit is a positive thing for the UK.

You can't believe everything it says...

Regardless of the misinformation that google gave you, this isn't meant to be a vr gaming mode - it's a Google cardboard equivalent for kids to experiment and have fun . For that it will likely be totally fine

Is it just me or did Nintendo miss a beat not making the ToyCon Blaster look like a SNES superscope?
