    Oh dear...
    Work PC scored 1045 with a stock Xeon X5645 so 6c/12t @ 2.41 ghz.
I'm looking at a cheap (£30) upgrade to an X5670 though. Waiting for Ryzen 3 to see about a new system, this one has been running flawlessly for 5 years with 24 gig memory, boot ssd etc. Only upgraded the gfx to a Radeon 280x. Sadly this is the fastest cpu I have at moment as everything else is quad core. Might sneak a nice AMD FX cpu into gaming pc at some stage, but as that is limited to 1080p as it's through the projector the price will have to be right
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!

My X5680 scores something like 1887 at ~3.9ghz, expect the 5670 could get to the same no problem. Xeon's still do fine The AMD chips do very well though, definitely keeping an eye on them for the future.

To be fair it's totally stock for reliability. I reckon a stock X5670 would jump up to about 1500 and I'd notice the improvement. I'm not going mad as a new build is on the horizon, probably an 8c/16t Ryzen 3 or whatever depending on cost. This setup would then be recycled into something else that doesn't need the power, perhaps my music pc

Re: QOTW: What do you score in Cinebench Release 20?

    1815 Intel i7 4770k stock
    1996 Intel i7 4770k @ 4.4ghz
    1326 AMD R5 2500u stock

Not too bad considering the i7's age and the 2500u is probably held back by the laptop cooling
