That makes no sense at all. I have worked for companies large and small, utterly dominant or not it doesn't seem to make any real difference to the company culture. That is what we are talking about here, there will always be the odd person that oversteps the line in any company but ignoring those some companies like Intel and Nvidia have a "win at absolutely any price" culture, many companies don't.
But then I think Nvidia were a nicer company before Intel trashed Nvidia's chipset business, blocked the Atom graphics booster line and shut down any attempt to make an x86 competitor etc. If Intel were gunning for me, I probably wouldn't be very nice either.

That is some of the the worst aiming in an FPS I've seen since... actually I'm not sure when. Christ.

It makes perfect sense.
You disagree.
That's very different. ;)

That's funny, but the original point is one I have seen over and over. It comes down to:
"I'm bullying you, because if you could bully me you would."
I've worked for some very big multinationals, but only ones with a good ethical policy, turnover has nothing to do with ethics. Why would it? AMD *could* turn into a bully, but there is no evidence or reason why they should and in my experience companies just carry on being who they are.

Ah I still have an Asus nForce 4 chipset mobo kicking around somewhere with an old Pentium D 805 sat in it. What caused the end of that cross license agreement between Intel and Nvidia, wasn't it AMD because of the x86 part of that agreement?
Re: Nvidia to enable real-time raytracing on GTX 1060 or higher
this seems simple enough you can have full fat RT on rtx cards (inc 2060) or you can have RT-lite via software (vulkan) , As to the RT demo , that could have been completely pre-rendered(!) and as to why its on a Vega56 it appears that may be the standard that STADIA is going to use (give or take some minor adjustments) probably for power saving.
Intel=Nvidia=Amd ... which ones have an ethical policy? ... actually INtel comes out top ... they destroyed less rainforest than the other two /j /s
BTW I still need somebody to point out what I'm supposed to be looking at in these RT demos ..
Re: Nvidia to enable real-time raytracing on GTX 1060 or higher
Am I the only one who thinks that in the "Control" demo, RTX off actually looks better most of the time?
Re: Nvidia to enable real-time raytracing on GTX 1060 or higher
That's very interesting. I am about to order a new system and was looking at having RTX2080. If this is the case then it will save a chunk of cash. But I agree with other posts that it will only mater if games make use of real time ray tracing.
Re: Nvidia to enable real-time raytracing on GTX 1060 or higher
It's definitely going to be a couple of years before you see many games with it. Might as well wait.
