Unlike a lot of people here, I have only ever owned one gaming console - some here have multiples and left me drooling. :-)
The only one I have ever owned is Pong - I have been a financially challenged disabled pensioner for several decades, and I must be miserly as my meager money has other priorities (even this PC I am using is a hand-me-down 4th gen i3 NUC).
I still have Pong somewhere in a box stored away (found it about 10 or 15 years ago when looking for something else)
For those out there who don't know Atari's Pong, it was one of the first gaming consoles (the arcade game came out in 1972 and a home version was released in 1975 but beaten to the market by the even more extremely basic Magnavox Odyssey with only 3 dots and no sound) and you played a game like Ping Pong (or table tennis) with bats, a moving "ball" and a central line for the net and basic sound - nothing fancy at all.
Amazingly very popular with over 10 million consoles sold.
We used to have all the neighbours join in tournaments and during school holidays, they sometimes ran for a week or so.
PS - just realised that I still had my old PC listed (just fixed it), it went missing with a pile of other things well over a year ago. I like to think that it morphed into a Deceptacon and walked out the door with the other missing things, but in the real world, we were more likely burgled. :-(
