Have they fixed it yet so when you click 'Update and shutdown' the computer actually shuts down when its updated..?
More importantly, does this mean I can plug in a USB stick and never worry about an enforced update ever again?
If the USB stick has a Linux installer on it, yes you can
As for Windows, it sounds like there is already a fix for this. Which is just as well, we have a Windows tablet around here that doesn't have enough flash storage on board to handle a Windows update so *has* to have a USB stick plugged in to get upgrades.
