    "reverse charging option"

You can use it as a power bank? To charge what?!

Actually, given I head out on my bike into the back of beyond with an action cam, I really wouldn't mind a massive phone that could also recharge the camera halfway round...! And I'm not a fan of ultra-thin phones anway ... although this might be going a bit far...

Energizer, bringing the 'brick' form factor in its most literal form, to modern smartphones.

I wonder how many they will actually make. They made the news previously with the P16K and had a bunch of retailers listed on some promotional material but I didn't see actual customers reviews, videos or posts. I wonder if they actually put it into production.

I'll regard this phone as vaporware till it hits shelves.

Re: Energizer launches the P18K Pop, an 18,000mAh smartphone

LOL.... Energiser, an actual battery company, releases a power bank with a phone built in and people go all wah over them for it??!!
I think I'm probably the only person who doesn't feel the need to carry some kind of power bank for all my electronic devices, these days... well, maybe Saracen, as he only has a watch and it's more of a sundial anyway!

    Gameboy/3DS/Vita/Switch.

^This is just what half the guys in the outdoor pursuits group at work have on them today.
I'm sure I could find a dozen more commonly carried items if I ask around...

That's not to say, in any way, I'd buy one myself... but I certainly applaud Energiser for trying something a little different and giving people more options for stuff. I'm really hoping their folder phone takes off, though!!

Actually, I think it would be good. More phones with larger batteries is a great idea. Although this is taking it a bit too far, people already complain that phones are "too big for pockets." Adding a bit of thickness for, say, an 8000mAh battery would make the phone last longer, be easier to hold, and wouldn't really change whether it fits in your pocket.

Seriously, though, if LG had a more ruggedize version of this (think like the V10) at 8000 mAh, with their focus on good cameras and sound still, I'd sell my Note9 in a heartbeat.

When you need your mobile phone to double as a murder weapon.

And last you all the way to the summit when you climb Mount Everest.

Tbh, I have a much sleeker multi port 20,000mah power bank I would rather use with a slim cable to the phone than holding 18,000mah+phone in my hand constantly. Imagine trying to video call with it, you would have arms like hercules by the end of the call!

Lol nice try but surely the choice for a phone shouldn't be either razor thin or kebab slab with no middle ground? I think when people say they would sacrifice thickness for more battery life they didn't mean this monstrosity...

Load phone with 'research media', so that you can hold it in your off-hand while conducting said extracurricular activities, and so ensure equal muscular development.

Scientists have proven, studies have shown. This is an evidence-based assertion.
