Re: AMD boasts of Lenovo ThinkPad design wins

My old i3 laptop is on the way out so IT asked me what I wanted and gave me a budget (we're only a small company). So I've plumped for a Ryzen 5 2xxxU with 256gb SSD which has 15.6" HD screen and 8gb ram. The Intel laptop I've got ATM has got really slow after Meltdown/Spectre update so I've decided I'm abandoning the crap ship Intel for good.

I've also upgraded my gaming PC to AMD 2700 (only £200!) and an Asus Prime X470 Pro and whilst I know it's a side grade from my 7700K I'm finally rid of Intel and I now have an upgrade path to Zen 2 and maybe even Zen 3 in 2020 if it comes out on AM4. TBH I've now got 8c/16t for a fraction of the price I paid for the 7700K. I'm not using the stock cooler have got a Be quiet Dark Pro 4 which is excellent.
