Thanks for missing out for the North East.
Panic! They're using Huawei kit!
Grab that. Get that. Check it out. Bring that here. Grab anything useful. Take anything good.
I left Facebook in 2010 because i was concerned about my data.
Rang today to end my contract and give 30 days notice to Vodafone for me and my missus.
Do the same if your sensible. Only Chinese I want having access to my phone is my local takeaway.

I love that people make a big spectacle about huawei when their kit is laced in most datacentres and communications throughout EMEA already and has done so for over a decade. And during that time, there has been maybe one or two instances with a reported flaw. Damn those chinese aee good at hiding their hackzorz it seema.
And they get so aggy saying that all of a sudden china is going to take over the world...then you look at the rest of the Cisco kit in the racks and shrug your shoulders?
Come on, grow up
Nothing to worry about, the Chinese government already knows my life as I have had a Huawei phone for years (P8).
The whole Huawei issue was started in America due to not wanting to admit the Chinese make better tech, they have then started to lean on the rest of the world to not buy too. The UK is spot on to march on and be one of the first to get a functions 5G network as it will do so much good.
I am happy for british people, they will be the guinea pigs for testing 5G in the real world. Lets hope all those 100+ studies and tests that say 5G is very bad for health are paid and fake, cause otherwise I can't think what will happen.
"up to ten times faster"
....the old 'up to' speed con in action once again.
Considering the hype about 5G has suggested a 10 fold increase in speed as an absolute minimum, are the hype wheels about improved speed already coming off, now its being subjected to 'real world' scenarios?

People do know that there is more to 5G than just a speed increase right?
Of course there is but the speed increase is the number 1 USP of 5G for the average consumer and what it could mean for home broadband supply.
I currently get my home broadband through Three's unlimited data 4G, tethering my phone to my PC via USB, and get 35-50Mbit depending on the time of day, more than enough for me and my Netflix 4K/Amazon Prime streaming in the evening. With 5G, those speeds 'should' increase to at least 200Mbit, which is fixed line Fibre speeds. A completely mobile, non fixed line connection is what I need.
