Gave my GTX 970 to my daughter (it plays games good at 1080p) as I got an RTX 2060 for myself :-)

EVGA GTX1060 6GB SC. Skipping this generation, no reason for me to upgrade.

Re: QOTW: Which graphics card(s) are you using?

Here are all my past GPUs, most recent to oldest
ASUS ROG STRIX 570 4G - Great for its price, not worthy of the ROG Strix name IMO, as it uses a 1050 Ti cooler, which is designed for 75W TDP, and no backplate, unlike the 580 Strix, and the 1050 ti Strix. (Late 2018-now)

EVGA 1070 SC(2) - Excellent card, good fac OC. first had some issues, got a SC2 back from a RMA as a free upgrade. Sold as I didn't game as much (~Late 2016- Late 2018)

ASUS 670 DCUII - Worked, I guess. 670 was essentially a faster, cooler 580. Great buy. Had all the VRAM, unlike the 660 ti BS, 2012.

ASUS 275 (forgot which model, its a blower) - see above. Essentially 1/2 of a 295, or a cheaper 280. Got it when I got into gaming, 2009ish?

and my oldest card, Radeon R9600 Pro 256MB. First GPU, don't remember much about it. Still have is somewhere. apparently AMD is going back to XT and Pro, Can't wait for the ATI RADEON NAVI RX 3080 XT PRO ULTRA GAMING EDITION

EVGA GTX 1070 FTW Gaming ACX 3.0

It was the only thing I didn't replace in a recent overhaul.

I gave consideration to jumping on the RTX bus as would like to make more of gaming on my 4K G-Sync monitor, but couldn't justify the ridiculous costs.

Will be sticking a decent wtaercooling loop in next, and then I'll save up for whatever is Billy Big Bollox by then, and some blocks to fit it.

Re: QOTW: Which graphics card(s) are you using?

What graphics card? Dunno. It had 'Radeon' on the box and I think it's a Sapphire, but it was about 15 years ago that I bought it and I don't really remember what it is.

    Does it still have 'game'?

For everything but games, yes, and for games, it depends which games. I'm nowhere near the gamer I was, mainly due to Steam (which I won't use), and no doubt for modern heavyily graphics oriented games, no it wouldn't.

Upgrade it? Probably not. Or maybe.

Put it this way, if I'm going to upgrade that, I need to upgrade so many other bits it boils down to buying a whole new machine, or sufficient bits to build a whole new machine. And I don't see me doing that for gaming.

If I ever decide to buy a new main machine anyway, which will probably only happen if a machine I currently rely on and still need fails catastrophically, then I'd probably aim at a couple of grades short of state of the art and then yes, I'd upgrade the graphics card to whatever, at that moment, reoresents maximum bang/buck .... and there are a few members here that would get a shoulder-tap for advice at that point.

I'm still running an aged NVIDIA GeForce GT 740 2047 MB. I'm ready for an upgrade but haven't decided which way to jump yet as I run a Hackintosh & the latest OS doesn't support NVIDIA as yet.

Re: QOTW: Which graphics card(s) are you using?

    Water cooled HD7770!

I had to get rid of my GTX 980 two years ago due to money issues.

To keep the rig going; I picked up a £15 HD7770 with a faulty fan, and as the plumbing was still there to cool the CPU I also picked up a new old-stock Asetek chipset water block for £5.

    Boom...

... 2004 wants their plastic barbed acrylic VGA blocks back!

Won't last much longer though, just bought an RTX 2060 for £260 with the Ebay 15% off code

R9 295X2 - was hoping DX12 would mean multi gpu support would get better but instead it got worse so am looking to replace it. It's had a good run.

Re: QOTW: Which graphics card(s) are you using?

    750ti which was free.

no idea if it plays current AA games, because the CPU doesn't support the code instruction set (?) used in the game. e.g. assassin creed origins, which was also free from Samsung offer at scan a year or so ago. so haven't bought anything newer because theres no point, because I cant play it. somethingto look forward to for ryzen3 upgrade probably.

plays Elex and Nioh that were also free from similar offer at scan.

play everything at 1680x1050 on my nearly 10 year old computer.

currenty working through DeusX:MankindDivided but the fans are getting noisey, I think they need a thorough clean.

everything except mouse and mousemat, keboard, case is going to be upgraded once I sort 'stuff' out. bits from this one wil end up in drawer with other bits from other computers.

AMD Fury X purchased in 2016, still doing the job, and no noise from the water cooler either.
