I hope someone sells those x16 AICs without the drives, so I can populate at will. I'm a big fan of AIC, especially as we move to PCIe4, as it moves the hot components away from the mobo, and it's a tidy (albeit expensive) lil RAID array.
That copper heatsink is pointless bling, there's no way you'll have efficiency issues with a m.2 heatsink and aluminium would be cheaper and have more thermal mass (unless they were volume limited, but m.2 ports suitable for drives with heatsinks generally have a fair bit of room on motherboards)
