And do you tend to keep the same case between builds?
The original Coolermaster Cosmos 1000. Beast of a case but not the best airflow.
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/516IiBFUKrL.jpg
On my second build using a CoolerMaster 690, often seem to end up with their cases for friends builds too.
Nanoxia Deep Silence 1B. Plenty of life in the old dog yet :)
Corsair 570X, extremely happy with it!
Corsair Obsidian 550D. Had it since my last (and current) build ...so for the past 6.5 years or so. Somehow, I haven't managed to remove the protective plastic on the front. The case itself is pretty good. Has to be the quietest build so far, and a lot of it is down to the case.
A Fractal Design Define R5, which I've had for three years and I am likely to be using for many more.
My main PC is in a Coolermaster 690 (I think the II model) and I plan to keep the same case when I next rebuild.
My HTPC is in a Coolermaster Elite 130
My main legacy PC is in an old (but custom-painted) AT mini-tower that started life as an ESCOM 486.
My other legacy PC is built in a Chieftec Scorpio.
Everything else is built into cheap generic cases that I've picked up over the years.
I would rather go with which ones I do not use... any without a single 5 1/4 front slot for DVD/Blu-Ray
Coolermaster Mastercase H500 RGB
Still using a Silverstone TJ07 from 2008.
Still happy with my Phanteks Enthoo Pro M in dark green :-)
Still using a bitfenix prodigy, but have been thinking of going up to m-atx for my next major upgrade.
InWin 901, still on it's first build, though the GPU has changed a number of times.
Before that I had a SilverStone TJ09 which has been through a bunch of builds. Loved that so much it's still in the loft, but no need of a case that big these days.
My HTPC is a CoolerMaster CM260 which is nasty to work on, but I've never since seen a nice looking replacement with the right combination of features.
Edit - oh and a CoolerMaster Elite 130 for a water-cooled eGPU, but I mostly don't use that anymore.
And a Dan A4 that I've never built up (!). I think that might be destined for a 3700X build this summer. If only graphics cards were a sensible price...
Current build is NZXT H440 Razer edition. i have used this for a couple of builds but going forward i will not. as it is really too large.i got it since i had gotten the NZXT X61 kraken water cooler and i wanted a case that would be built with this cooler in mind. there is too much wasted space in it since the new tech of M.2 drives and affordable NAS systems there is no need for 3.5 drive bays. i will be downsizing to a Micro ATX form factor with 2 M.2 slots and the HYPER M.2 X16 CARD V2 expansion card to add more M.2 drives as needed

Cooler Master Case CM690 II Advanced
Awesome case!
Glad to see I am not the only one still using a Silverstone TJ07. It was a best buy for a long time (in technology terms) back then and apart from being rather large I cannot see it being replaced by me in the near future.
Enthoo pro after reading recommendations here. It was amazing to work in from an old NZXT lexa blackline, though there have been times in the past I was getting noise. Thinking of getting a Coolermaster H500 for zen 2 for better airflow.
I have a http://www.ldcooling.com/ v8 in red(bout 6yrs now ).. had a lian li before that for 10 yrs
more space than you need but solid build
Be Quiet! Silent Base 600. Awesomely quiet case with loads of fans. Just put a new Asus Prime Pro X470 in with an AMD 2700 CPU (replaced Intel 7700K). Already had a Be quiet! Dark Pro 4 cooler so all cores run at 4.1 at 1.4mv no problem and I might try 4.2 at 1.375 to see where that gets me. Running Vengence LPX ram at 3000mhz so all looks good.
Still using my Lian Li Tyr-X500 case, second build and zero intention of changing it. The only cases I've been tempted by in the last few years have been either Corsair or Phanteks cases, if they decided to do an all aluminium construction without the terrible tempered glass windows etc and used sound proofing in the side panels / usb-c connectors I'd be even more tempted. Alas most manufacturers seem to have gone down the RGB rabbit hole with show off cases..
Fractal Design Define R5 is my main pc case and it is one great case. I also have a Corsair obsidian 300 for my video server. That case holds 9 drives and had space for most anything you could want. Both enable easy service and cleaning. Over the years, I have come to look at these two brands first and foremost. I have never been disappointed by them as i have been by other name brand cases with all kinds of lights, bells and whatnot that i could care less about.
Corsair Carbide Spec 03. It was cheap, small-ish and has good airflow. Fits my new AM4 build perfectly.
Desktop: Fractal Design Define Mini C
Server: Fractal Design Define Mini
Cooler Master Case CM690 II Advanced
Phanteks Enthoo Luxe.
Was looking at Case Labs SMA8 for next build but that isn't going to happen now.
I can't stand all these new cases that mainly have power/ports on the top where I can't reach them, They also don't have 5 1/4 bays for LCD monitoring of fans/temps and Blu Ray/DVD.
Cases now just seem like a rectangle with glass panels and flashy lights, Lost functionality in my opinion.
Fractal Design Arc Mini, despite the "Mini" it isn't really. Had it for nearly seven years now, copes very well and I love the removable filters for cleaning.
Silverstone FT01 - can't see any reason to change. Solidly built from aluminium, good cooling, virtually silent, looks great, no LED and brought up to date with a front bay for USB3 ports, card reader etc.
The second system is in another aluminium classic, the Lian Li PC-7 Plus.
I'd never buy a case made from plastic or without any 5.25" bays.
Asus rack mounted case for works pc as it sits under desk...
Codegen rack mounted case for music pc as it sits in a rack...
That's about it
Coolermaster HAF X, Large good airflow & front loading hot swappable drive bays - perfect for cloning customers disks
I've been using a big Coolermaster case for the last 5yrs or so. I can't remember the model but it wasn't cheap & its a great case. Its got its third build inside it but its about to be retired as its now too big for my needs & I'm going to build a new machine in a Bitfenix Micro ATX case.
I'm still using my trusty old Antec 300 Gamer enclosure, it's about as basic as a case can get but still does the job.
Thermaltake Core V1 on my current desktop.
I was was comparing cases for my first Mini-ITX build and decided the larger size would be easier for my big hands to work in. Also, the power supply is mounted below, instead of shoved in right above the CPU, restricting airflow, and there's room for it to be full-sized ATX, so I didn't have to pay twice as much for a smaller supply. Having just one big, slow fan in front keeps it very quiet. I didn't care about windows or lights, especially since the case fits nicely inside one opening of an Ikea Kallax, with enough room to stick a finger alongside to hit the power button.
My next SFF build might go with a similarly-sized case, but I'm going to plan for at least a modular power supply, if not a smaller one. All my excess power cabling is just stuffed underneath, right now. I'd also rather not have a badge on my case. I could pry this one off, but the grille is recessed for its irregular shape, so the result would be worse.
CM Stryker for my main rig which is getting on a bit now, waiting for 3rd gen ryzen to upgrade it gonna keep the case as I love the space.
Just upgraded my media centre to a phanteks p350x wasnt sure the missus would like the RGB in the living room but to my surprise she did and has now changed it from subtle to unicorn vomit mode.
Lian Li PC-B25FB
Used it for the last several builds. Though must admit that I have modded the case somewhat over the years (side panel fan etc.).
I like Aluminium cases. Always cool to the touch.
I'm still using the Corsair Vengeance C70
Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition. Loads of space and cooling which is what it does well, a shroud for the PSU and HDD's could have been an improvement over the removable bays, but that's not a deal breaker. It shows it's age against the new tempered glass trend, but I still like it enough to not be tempted to change it yet.
CoolerMaster HAF-X. I'm not willing to lose casters or space for 10 internal harddrives on my next build so the options are limited. ThermalTake Core W100 seems the only alternative.
Fractal Design Define S2 in white. Really pleased with it but want to put decent WC loop in.
Fractal design define r6 gunmetal
Love the look and enough space for my loop
Fractal design nano s, an upgrade from my previous fractal core 500. Simple, no messing about cases both of them. With planning they have sufficient airflow for a great itx build
Main machine lives in a Zalman MS1000-HS2 case. Second machine is in a Corsair Carbide 300R. However, my mindset has started to move towards space saving and there is a huge amount of unused space in that Carbide case. So I'm looking to replace it with an Intel NUC machine, in the near future.
The Zalman will stay as, despite me consolidating it's 3 hard disc drives in to one 6GB drive, recently, so the 6 hot swapable bays aren't exactly needed, it is absolutely whisper quiet.
New rig built in December 18' inside the stunningly good looking, and brilliantly modular, Fractal Design Define R6.
Along with solid state nvmes and ssds, a touch of water cooling and the quietest fans I literally cannot tell the thing is powered on :D
Cooler Master Trooper: https://www.newegg.com/black-cooler-...82E16811119245
This case has gone through multiple builds since 2012. This case was overkill. The lights for the start button and fan buttons no longer work. I thought the switchable fan design was a cool feature at the time. Now I don't. Really wish you could move the fans in the other direction and the ability to have fans in the front also.
I'm in the process of wanting to downsize to a mid-tower. So far no luck on finding one that meets my standards. I am very picky about cases these days. Still waiting for reviews for some cases with mesh fronts and how well the air flow goes.
My main is the Corsair One. Love the design and form factor, but I imagine upgrading (when it comes to it) will be an interesting challenge.
I've also kept my previous PC, a Silverstone Sugo SG05 (noisy little thing that it is).
NZXT Phantom 530
Cooler Master HAF XB EVO. Great airflow. Sits near my a/v equipment and doesn't look out of place.
Still using a very old thermaltake mozart tx, size of a vending machine , has 5 1/4 drive bays and does everything I need of it, it is crying out to be modded and have be water cooled but its hard to find 240x240 rads now.
http://www.thermaltake.co.nz/product/Chassis/fulltower/Mozarttx/ve1000sna.html
Still using a generic case bought from SCAN in 2000 for one machine, although my other home built machines use mini ITX cases. (Coolermaster and a Minibox M300)
upgraded to my Thermaltake Suppressor F31 a few years ago when i upgraded to Skylake from an old Q9550 build, replacing my Thermaltake Viking-S
great case to upgrade to.
Thermaltake Core P3. Very happy with it and it's also a lot quieter and less of a dust magnet than I thought it was going to be.
Coolermaster CM Stacker :D
Another Enthoo Luxe here.
Still not a fan of the offset intakes, but it doesn't have tempered glass, holds a bunch of stuff, shrouds the PSU and does most of what I want. Has 5.25" bays, as well, which house my various mods.
Antec 300. It's quite old now and has been through a number of upgrades. I like it because it's got decent airflow through a large filter at the front. The side and top grills have been blocked up since the start and I have some sound deadening fitted.
For smaller builds I've used Cooler Master Elite 130's a couple of times but modified with the front chopped out to fit a grill and the internal drive cage removed - in this configuration it's cool and quiet, out of the box it's quiet but acts like a small oven. :-)
I am using the Coolermaster Cosmos 1000 as well, at the time I thought nothing could beat it, I'm looking to get a Phantek p600s if it can handle my EATX system.
NZXT Phantom Black Full tower! Thanks a Beast of a case!
10 year Old CoolerMaster Elite Case, now on its' 3rd motherboard upgrade, and 3 Fan changes, and about time for a replacement PSU.
Silverstone FT05. The rotated case improves airflow considerably and I don't have problems with GPU droop. Other than that I'm not really concerned about aesthetics - RGB can take a hike - because my PC is in a cupboard:
https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/project-silence-that-d-pc.18851216/
use mostly JouJye Super Gaming Chassis
numerous "Other" manufacturers have similar versions
of this VERY LARGE case which measures approx
635 H x 670 D x 230 Wide with support for two PSU's
VASTLY cheaper than all other versions and plenty of scope to self customise
and I've never been a lover of parting with a small fortune
merely for a housing for components - money better spent on those bitz
you'll not likely see many comments like mine - but each to their own as they say
The one in the picture: The be Quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 (orange).
NZXT Phantom 820
It is a big case, but it holds all my HDD's :)
I don't move it much as it's a bit wonky
http://www.nzxt.com/products/phantom-820-white
I have the black one
I seems like it is on special ATM
Sliverstone Matx PS08 .. fine for what I want.. but the disc cage is a big crummy. Why buy when you dont have to ? also Lian q38 ..good quality ..BUt ..BUt ..could do better ...
Fractal Design Define R5 - I don't need/want flashy colours or see through panels. The R5 is very easy to work with, good air-flow and plenty of Sata cages.Although not wedded to Fractal they will be my 1st port of call for the new build later this year.
I have 3 me built PC's and when tech moves ahead, sufficiently,I build a new one from scratch and donate the oldest.I mean, having 4 PC's would be,like,so silly.
Still with the SilverStone Raven SST-RV02B-W
Fractal Design Define R6. Love it, very happy with it. Only thing I'd change, make it about an inch bigger in every dimension, would make water cooling options go from good to excellent.
I don't upgrade case with new builds. My last case, the original ThermalTake Armor, lasted me over 15 years. Things have gotten much nicer to build in and a lot prettier since 2000~!
Thermaltake core P5
Still looking a chassis for kids build, but looks like it will be Meshify C
Corsair Obsidian 800D. I got it almost 8 years ago when I built my first X79 system. Internals have been upgraded on a couple of occasions and some mods were made to accomodate my custom loop, a second network card and a couple of others like a second radiator at the top (yes, on top of the case itself xD).
To be honest I just upgraded the GPUs to 2x2080ti and I'm waiting on a X299 mobo+cpu+ram order to arrive, and was considering to upgrade the case as well, but I have no idea on what to choose. The 1000D looks nice but is not cheap.
