You couldn't rely on it for performance or complete anonymity, but it's still handy for general anonymity and skirting around geofencing.

I have firefox and i have a VPN sub (sadly mostly required in the UK nowadays)

The VPN is mandatory, but combining it with supporting firefox? I'd be up for that

Firefox remains a great browser and my browser of choice as they are the one developer committed to not skimming your personal data at every opportunity. They are the antidote to Google and Microsoft with their drive to generate advertising revenue from your browsing habits and other stock-piled personal data.

The recent May / June 2019 builds also offer really huge improvements in performance on Windows.

I'd definitely be interested in learning about their premium offerings, if only to support their ideals.
