This looks very promising for the folks that want to upgrade on existing motherboards.

Exciting stuff! Haven't said that about the CPU space for a long while. Can't wait for the ones with the higher core counts!

Not impressed with the bundled pass though - I'd like something that's going to last more than 3 months with my CPU/GPU purchase..

I mean not everyone even gets freebies on release and the fact you get to have a taste of those 100 games means you can then go and purchase them at a later date If you do like them, furthermore the game pass is available cheap from third parties and can make it cheaper than buying games on release. All to their own though.

Well I mean the point of buying a CPU or GPU is precisely that you want to have ownership of them and can continue to use them. If I was to buy-in to the subscription model then I might as well subscribe to cloud compute/GPU as well instead of buying my own hardware from AMD.

Re: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 review breaks cover early

The questions that are burning in my mind was this on the 1903 Windows 10 and did it have the microcode updates that allow the proper allocation of threads to Zen cores that can give up to 10% more performance.

At least this leak had decent memory in use shows in one synthetic that the 3600 will match the 9900K in single threaded.

    Interesting times.

Definitely near the top of my list for my next upgrade... Pending some proper reviews and confirmed pricing.

For me it doesn't feel like the extras are good value.
Previously you got 2-3 games in the bundle like AC:Odyssey, StarControl, or resident evil 2 to name a few, at or around launch time so you got, what, like 100quid's worth of games on launch?
Xbox Live pass is/was currently 1quid for a month, up to 5quid pm after that or at worst 12 quid per month.. so the new value is what at most 36quid's extra? And you don't own the games (or can sell them on).
When you compare it back for money value it wasn't as nice as before. Sure you can play more games in those 3 months but nothing is yours at the end of the day.

don't get me wrong, i will be getting a 3700x/3800x but the bundle is lacklustre.

The price for a growing platform, They wanted some market share so games added to the appeal, You can't get everything. The other thing is, is that there is no guarantee people would like those three games. XB game pass allows you to try games you want to try outside of a 2-hour refund boundary which steam has and enjoy them for that period before buying them elsewhere if you feel like it. I completed odyssey in 2 weeks after buying it for £12 on offer. Value is sometimes unquantifiable
