I recently upgraded my htpc to 10 from 7 and was getting sound distortion. Was annoying as I had to restart to clear it, will be forcing this patch asap.
Things that no longer work properly since the latest update:
-Wireless LAN
-Keyboard macro keys
Also been having sound issues with 1903. Wireless headphones on bluetooth stop working after awahile or the volume control doesnt work. Have to restart windows audio service to get it back.
This update does not fix the audio issue.
"Interestingly, Microsoft's highlighted fixes didn't list something that had been annoying some users for a while - the DPC latency issue in Windows 10 - though this has been warmly welcomed now people are aware of the change."
Is the kind of thing that you could expect in new OS, not something thats been out for years... This is why i'm still on win7, because lets be clear, nothing works like it should on w10Updates an issue that may prevent you from changing the display brightness after your device resumes from Sleep or Hibernation.
Oh wow, I've been having problems. I upgraded to 1903 but I was having problems so i downgraded to 1803. But few days ago I've been having issues with pops and crackles in audio.
I think the issue with Windows 10 is its trying to change things too much too often. So it always remains in the beta state.
So it updates the issues? Or does it fix them? Does it include the audio fix? I'm not home and I can't test this right now but I was having audio problems... Was about to buy a new DAC thinking it was the cause of it didn't know windows had this driver problem. The thread is not very clear and I also can't find the link for the release notes in the thread.
It didn't fix the DPC latency for me. Just restored all the setting that I have customized -taskbar, speaker configuration etc...
