    Is this going to end up like the 9900K, and actually require way more power than the TDP says at stock settings?

    Less power draw than the 45W chips in gaming laptops, so it'd be a good fit for a laptop. Desktops already have the "65W" vanilla 9900 to choose from, which would work fine in a pretty compact case
