Woooo that's almost 2X of what my regular 3600 trident Z do ( stock )
Re: G.Skill Trident Z Royal DDR4 memory breaks 6GHz barrier
Those timings.
31-63-63-63-2
Re: G.Skill Trident Z Royal DDR4 memory breaks 6GHz barrier
I remember my OCZ DDR ram 2-2-2-5-2 ( which i still have in a box along with some CPU's ASO )
Since then RAM timings have not impressed me at all.

Did they replace each chip with a spinning platter? Lol

Units of timings are in clock cycles.
The latency required in ns hasn't really changed for years so if you double the frequency you halve the cycle time and thus number of cycles needs to double with it.
31 @ 6000 is actually quite tight as it's similar to 15.5 @ 3000 and not far off 16 @ 3200.
The old school ram with cas 2 timings was probably running at 400mhz if that.
cpu at 800Mhz and a single stick of ram tho ... entirely pointless since coffee lake isn't even that memory sensitive

Well if we compare it to my Corsair kit at it's stock timings of 3200MHz @ 14-14-14-38-1, their timings of 31-63-63-63-2 are double, or even quadruple. I'm not impressed in the slightest.
