    AMD launches 12C/24T Ryzen 9 3900 and 6C/6T Ryzen 5 3500X

    Unfortunately they are both OEM only parts, and the Ryzen 5 3500X is limited to China, for now.

    I remember when chip TDP's were 55W and lower for desktops.

    Pffft, my Atari ST had no fans in it whatsoever. ISTR my 386-40 didn't even have a cpu heatsink, but there was a fan in the PSU.
