Definitely due a comeback.
Small smartphones.
Tactile in-car controls.
Perpetual software licences.
Games developed only for PC for later on port to consoles
CRT PC Monitors.
Steam engines.
Windows Phones. Although I'm still using an HP X3. I hate my company Android and Apples are a none starter. So please bring back and updated Windows Phone.
I'll second Steam Engines.
+1 for Windows Phone and perpetual software licencing.
PC flight sim games - made for windows 10. Pocket flip phones. Commodore Amiga and all those wonderful games.
Good IPs and COMPLETE games without DLCs(no alpha, beta, sucka, battle pass and so forth). Internet before social media. And decent human beings.
I'd love to see the good old Atari VCS console make a comeback but don't think it'll ever happen. Oh hang on a minute.......... no, still don't think it'll happen ;)
"CRT PC Monitors" my 22" CRT lasted until the summer 2017, and i think i got it in 2000.
So i am on my first pancake screen now, and it can not do the 200 Hz & 200 FPS i use to game at.
I am also in favor of steam engines, really it is the classy way to travel.
I also don't mind windows phone, i was on one for a few years, and as i am not a APP whore it worked just fine for be being a phone.
I recall internet / the world before social media, it was a so much better place, and IMO the people that ruined it should be taxed so hard they close shop.
A Retro Amiga CD32/A1200/A500 hybrid a bit like the SNES mini and Megadrive mini with customised ISO's so you dont have to load disk 2-3-4-5-6 e.t.c..
N64 with HDMI with support for original cartridges and controllers. And it needs to happen NOW.
Flip phones.
cheap pc parts <drops the nike>
I'm not sure if this counts, but in theory I'd love for a Sega return to making their own (new) consoles, if it meant they'd manage to compete with today's console makers (especially reigniting the fight with Nintendo).
I say 'in theory', because it's more along the lines of curiosity as to how well they'd be able to compete if they did make a comeback these days. I highly doubt (although I could of course be wrong) that they have the financial resources needed to be able to fund the making, distribution and promotion of a competitive system in this day and age though.
I'd also add a vote for the aforementioned perpetual software licenses.
While there are of course still some that do perpetual, as time goes on it's increasingly turned to time and/or subscription-based.
I was going to say Sega consoles as well (wishful thinking though).
Apple Ipods
The mention of the Walkman line reminded me: I'd love to see some new, reliable cassette recorders at reasonable prices. Both portable and home decks. Lots of bands started selling cassettes again in the last couple of years, but I don't know what people are playing them on. A lot of the old gear from the 80s and 90s has fallen victim to plastic gears eroding.
Given what I see on my commute, indicators.
Power VR Cards...
must admit I still play amiga stuff emulated. AmigaOS still is my favourite OS though even after 33 years
1) Mechano
2) Junkyard construction
Cars simple enough for a non-mechanic
to fix with a socket set, a few other tools and a Haynes manual.
The guillotine.
R&D can take place in parliament.
Symbian OS
Flagship mobile phones with removeable batteries.
when you say nike drop, do you mean like this?

but seriously you're right. Cheap pc parts. Or at least affordable. Sodding bit coin folding has ruined things for normal folk.
CRT Monitors.
AAA games that don't have loot boxes and/or micro-transactions, and don't require an internet connection to play in single-player mode.
Multiplayer games that you can run your own server on your LAN
Classic iPods
DRM-free games
Not really old tech, but removable batteries for phones, laptops etc
I got back into listening to music again this week and was looking for a player. I miss the old iPod touch/classic... the only other "MP3" players on the market seem to be the same ones that I've seen 10 years ago. And a lot of them seem pretty expensive for what functionality they seem to provide.
Hhmmm,
Perpetual software licences (No subscriptions)
Easy-to-fix-cars (As above)
Single player games that are good (Half-life, Descent and Super Mario Land are my current go-to's)
Affordable PC parts
And yes, I could go on, but I'll stop here.
I like the idea of modern polaroid. Gone are the days of photo albums. There's something nostalgic about flicking through a photo album or an old wicker basket full of random prints. I bet you've done this when you've found a load at your mums or your nans.
Affordable mid range graphics cards.
A new Amiga....
I think we are finally ready for ...
The power of the MATTEL POWER GLOVE!!
I was going to say a new Amiga of some sorts but there's so many other great things in this thread...
It's a load of win for me if I'm honest...
Oh...I know what I'd love...
TRULY independent bench-marking software used in Reviews that IS NOT funded/sponsored/bribed by Intel, nVidia, AMD whoever...
Competition Pro 2000 Joystick.
The only way to play Sensible World of Soccer on your new Amiga...
