How 649USD is affordable? I mean it is almost the slowest CPU in its range (Intel Core m3), has only 64Gb of storage (my phones have more than that).
Aren't there any more normal (right) priced laptops?
The more you live, less you die. More you play, more you die. Isn't it great.
Oooh, look at that. The bold move to remove the 3.5mm jack but for ONLY $179 they'll sell you a solution to that problem.
Utter bo.....
The only thing that even remotely interested me from this announcement was the hybrid extender/mesh wifi with built in speaker/assistant (ie nest wifi).... would I use it, hell no, not letting google that far into my network lol.
Yes I do have a google mini but it's usually turned off unless I want some music from google music storage (which could work a hell of a lot better than it does).
As to the pixelbook... seems rather overpriced for what is still essentially a device focused on accessing web services, if all the heavy lifting is being done on the server they could have used a high tier arm setup instead. Would I spend 600+ on it versus roughly the same on say a surface pro, hell no.
Perhaps they have decided to try for Apple in their space of 'everyone else uses it'...
