Agree; looks like 2019 tech rammed into a 2005 chassis. There is so much cool stuff they could have done with this like a sleeker more modern design, wrap-around displays like the Mi Mix Alpha (since the Razr was a premium device) or else just make it really thin for people who want a tiny phone that can still deliver a normal phone experience. Easier said than done but it seems they've not achieved anything with this.

Pfft... Speak for yourselves. I think it looks great!
Then again I'm old, I was a user of the Star Tac phone, and I do like a bit of Star Trek....

A bit annoying that they still have a notch in the main screen. That should definitely have been better placed and they do have the volume to achieve it.
The folded thickness doesn't bother me and, as someone who pays a lot of attention to how and why stuff does (or doesn't) fit in my pockets, I generally find something thicker but with a smaller base footprint far more carry-friendly than the opposite.

But yeah, looks cool - More, please!!

Original one was bigger, this one is a bit too short.

But why? You have a phone, which you can collapse into a bulky box to be shown another screen that you can't really interact with, so you then have to unfold it to use it.

Surely this is a niche product for certain size of "going out" handbags?

It's not as bulky as you'd think. I can put it in any one of four jeans pockets and sit down without impaling myself or snapping the thing. Can't say the same about standard sized smartphones...
Also, ages back I used to have a Samsung SGH-Z500V which had a secondary front screen. You couldn't really interact with it, but I could config what it displayed and when. It was blimmin' awesome and shockingly useful, even back in those days!
