That does seem a strange move. Also USB C up front is currently less useful than a USB 3.1 slot. Hmmm Still loving my NUC8 it makes a great hackintosh machine.

these are for the main stream m something with better gfx will appear in a few months. UHD 630 IS a downgrade from irisplus.
