The only tv that appears to be downsizing....
Ok it rolls, but why?
I can think of two reasons for these:
A) Flexibility in placement, you can put it in front of your Window without it blocking out all the light when you're not watching TV etc. If you have a small spot, you can more easily put it in front of things.
B) WAF (Wife Approval Factor). So WAGs kick up a fuss about big TVs dominating the lounge, where they'd rather have a pretty fire-place (which is used twice a year), than suggest the main thing that is done in the room is watch TV (which it is) and not entertain high-society (which they don't).
This is good to see tbh for this kinda tech. Keep this tech getting smaller and we'll have wearable displays that roll around the arm, or a large tablet that essentially rolls out from a simple handheld device (I think I've seen that in movies), it's gonna be neat!
"If you are still questioning the size of this display, perhaps the desire for a rollable compact TV will be greater at this end of the market - for people living in space constrained flats and apartments."
Or for taking it away with you on holidays/trips not abroad?
