No surprise there, Linus video drivers haven't been decent in general even for power consumption.
I have a link to a video that shows that but I don't know if I'm allowed to post it...

Whilst academically interesting, as long as it can still render wobbly windows in a KDE desktop I can't imagine anyone will really notice. Not like anyone is actually gaming on those old IGPs, well not beyond the likes of Tux Racer anyway.

Such an ignorant comment. Graphics processors are used for more than just gaming, you know.

Indeed, they are used to render the desktop. Including in KDE the wobbly windows effect that makes them amusingly look like they are made from rubber.

My point was that in most systems making the windows wobble is the most that will be ever asked of the integrated GPU. If this hit OpenCL performance on discrete graphics cards it would matter, but as it is I didn't imagine this will matter much.

In hindsight, there may be Linux users out there playing Minecraft on IGP. They will have to lower draw distance.

The Windows drivers are also causing issues on dual-core Haswell with basic Intel HD.
