Only way I'd ever use this is if was in a fresh windows install and I'd only use it to download Opera anyway.

I've never liked edge or chrome.

Re: QOTW: First impressions of Microsoft's Edge Chromium browser?

i got the new chromium based edge as soon as i saw it made available. intrestingly it did not come to my attention in the win10 insider program which is generally sending me updates and info on both windows 10 and 365. another story though. I am using chrome browser now, just noticed it when i read a few of the posts above. i tried it and dabble with it but even after configuring it i am not happy with the changes it made with other microsoft apps. maybe a coincidence or maybe not. seems to have altered the contacts and people and other small things. not 100% sure since it is hard to track down in a few mins for me. I had no first impression feelings one way or the other though. i did not like edge before and quit IE way long ago, years ,so may have some negative biases by now. will try to overcome and do an honest try out.

Just installed Edge Chromium and so far I have not come across any problems. I am impressed with the product and prefer it to Firefox and Google Chrome. I cannot wait for further updates to improve the product.

Chrome is for dumb people IMHO (so limited in how I can modify it easily, totally dumbed down). I know this because I can't function in it...LOL. Heck you lose me with no multi-row tabs. How hard is it to do this? One row is stupid. Drop down just as dumb. If you can't recreate tabmix plus features YOU SUCK and are moving backwards PERIOD (I'm looking at you FIREFOX! I will never load your new browser without this fixed). I fire up chrome if I want to slow down. MSFT can you fix this? Wake me when you do. Tabbed groups too. Whatever losers. New firefox can kiss my butt too. Chrome by another name. Parents went opera, I may follow at some point. Can't give up multi-row tabs or tabbed groups yet. I see no point when that is ok to me...ROFL. To me these are like including a text editor in windows. Well duh! What do you mean it's not in there? Are you using 13in monitors or something? I have plenty of room for more rows and I want them exposed always! Heck I want EVERYTHING exposed in as many cases as possible or at least a box somewhere to check "not stupid, tech proficient" and all is exposed. Basically if it's more clicks than any previous version, you failed. Clicks to get work done should go DOWN not UP on new revs of an OS. All of these companies seem to think the lowest common denominator is good. I feel like all my browsers have went SJW and forgot most of us actually have to get crap done.

I have been using it since upcoming of windows 10 but stopped using it since the last update to chromium engine and had to unstill my windows and go back to ver 1903 cos it stopped supporting epub files for books which were my primary use for edge the last couple of years
