And it has decided to keep the S10 family around for another year, discounted by $150.

Pricier, and no headphone jack. Hmmmm.

Might be worth it for the 45,000mAh model though :D
Re: Samsung launches the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra
Not at that price. If the ultra has 8k with 108mp camera, they should include all base models at 256GB memory as space will get used up in a flash (no pun intended). Shooting 8k in a SD card may lead to bandwidth issues unless you opt for high speed cards which is an additional expense.
Also considering the depreciation on the phones, I'd like to get one, but will have to wait for a price drop, £1,400 for the 512gb ultra is definitely out of reach...
Re: Samsung launches the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra
Haven't they, like, only just come out with the S10 range?

Re: Samsung launches the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra
Yup not for me with lack of headphone jack
Re: Samsung launches the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra
Hole in the screen of every single model. Massive missed opportunity, makes phones that could have been a nice upgrade just uninteresting.
Maybe next year we'll get phones with full screens again, fingers crossed.

Can't see it ever going away I'm afraid...

Meh... the 90s was only yesterday for me!
I only wondered, because some friends (and their parents) have just got "the latest Samsung phones", and they're all S10s...
Re: Samsung launches the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra
My S10+ is like new and I do use the 3.5 jack, so I think I'll pass on this one.
The new features and improvements look ok but are not such a big improvement that it actually makes me to want it. Not to mention the lack of a white model.

True, 1+ have top-end snapdragon processors while Samsung make do with own-brand for example.

Erm wrong. S20 in the UK has Snapdragon as have the last 3-4 flagship phones. Only in some other countries do the use Exynos and they've cut back on dev for them too

S10, S10+, S10E, S105G..... Note10 with all the same suffixes... M10... Folds... a bunch of As... and an Xcover, apparently. Hmm. Good for them.
But I've only heard of the S and the Note, which kinda seem the same to me. Since I'm not a phone geek with stupid amounts of money to burn, but these people are, if they tell me their S10 is "the latest" I have to assume that means Samsung's most recent and also their bestest phone, like, ever ever ever..... I don't know of anyone who hasn't bought a flagship phone, aside from my wife.
