Omron witches? Ooh, witches are so cool... I'm getting throwbacks to The Craft already!!
I do love me a Mouse of Many Buttons, but they always work best when spread around the mouse, same as you get with the controls on a HOTAS. Lumping them all together just makes it a micro-keypad and not much use in the heat of 'battle'.
I can see why they hopped onto the giant mousepad wagon, since existing ones do rather well... But at £40, it's a good tenner more than the highly popular OCUK ones (which are often on half-price offer, as well), so it'd better be bloody good.

I am using a mouse mat from the early 1990s. I really don't get why anti-fray is a consideration.
My mouse mat IS very manky and the rubber is degrading but it's still an effective mat for my mouse.
All these modern SmoothGlide™ materials, when frayed, are like 15-grit sandpaper. I had to put tape over the front edge of mine, because it was ripping my mouse arm to shreds. I replaced it with one that has stitched anti-fray edges in the end.
F-Sam - They usually come in different sizes... although a monitor arm is always superior, of course!!

I am sure it is just me, but even just the 2 buttons on the L side of my mouse i feel are too far towards the back of it, and it have been this way since mouse got these side buttons.
Razer and what name you they all feel strange to me, i would be happier if what are the front button now was the rear one of the 2
And no i do not have particular big hands.
It looks like an old SAAB car inside with buttons everywhere, don't think it is very ergonomic.
