So..... you could play as Barry Seal, smuggling for the CIA out of some bushland runway?
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
I'm seriously thinking of getting a WMR Headset, Just for this. It's Going to be incredible.
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
Would like to know the price
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
It will be published at the and of the year. Probably the only game I am interested in.
But then it is also the reveal of the next Xbox and next Playstation.

Been following the updates from Asobo Studio for a few months now. I agree it's shaping up to be one hell of a game (or sim, I should say). The sheer scope of it all is mightily impressive.

I don't think it's shipping with VR support from day one - that's due later down the line.
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
Interested to know how deeply simulated the non-flying stuff is. Whole city traffic flows, trains & buses arriving and departing on their real-life schedules etc? Sim-citizens going about their day all over the world ;-)

Flight Simulator was featured in the Xbox games-reel in 2019 - so may well be coming to the next-gen Xbox X-Series... also likely to be included in the Gamespass subscription model, like all other first-party Microsoft games for Xbox and PC.
Should be some happy times (and virtual airmiles) ahead :-D
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
If it is included in Gamepass then I will be very happy

It doesn't have to, wmr can work as a 3d display, It's good because it's cheap compared to getting a proper VR headset. I nearly bought one for GTA 5 First person XD

Ok, so you can use it just have the 3D view, without the head/motion tracking?
Assuming FS2020 has support for it, I wonder if it'd be possible to combine TrackIR with WMR, so you get the 3D view and some degree of head tracking when you pan your head around? :)
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
I hope it's got that airport on the side of a mountain that was in a Bond film then.
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
Just wondering how do you key in flight details on a flight computer using the Xbox controller?

I keep hearing that, yet only see them for the same sort of money as a Rift.

Voice recognition?
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
Looking at the videos FS looks awesome, but I am starting to wonder whats included in the base price
Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts "all the airports in the world"
I'm really looking forward to playing this. I was a fan of MS Flight Sim many years ago. Bought FSX a few years back, but never got into it as much, think the graphics were too dated for my liking. Assuming the base game is complete and not a money making scheme (via expensive DLC) like a number of other flight sims on the market, think I might enjoy it.
Also considering this will be on the Xbox later on, I look forward to playing on a controller... as I find long games easier to play on a controller. As long as most of the key controls can be mapped across, I'd be happy. I play ETS and ATS on a controller, and have mapped most of the actions to a controller.
I hope there's a time lapse feature, as not looking forward to doing a "realistic" 8 hour flight.

Pricing structure is still TBC. There was speculation that it would be subscription-only, but in a fairly recent interview one of the senior Asobo guys seemed to hint that there would be an option for outright purchase too. Of course that still doesn't preclude chargeable DLC though. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
