    Raspberry Pi 4 2GB price cut to $35 in birthday celebration

    That says to me that the volume of sales is in the 2GB variant.

    Perhaps for most people the 4GB is too hot and the 1GB too cold...

    Edit: I love that Ice Tower cooler, hadn't seen that before. Want one for my Pi now, but at £20 it seems a bit extravagant.
    Oh and there's even a horizontal version with twin direct contact heatpipes So cute!

    I think the extra £20 for the 4GB makes the 2GB the sweetspot for most pockets.

    Proper tinkerer's could get by with that easily, and the HTPC crowd which would benefit most for the 4GB are more likely to buy a cheap Android box if spending over that £50 point, especially considering they'd still likely need a case, power, and most definably a heat sink to push the cose up even more.

    Oh I think you are spot on, the 2GB was the obvious choice. I still got the 4GB one though

    Slightly annoying I recently bought the 3 B+ for £40.
    But I'd heard there were a few kinks and caveats with the 4 regarding the USB 3.

    mehh, in my region I still need to pay around ~43$ for the device...
