    I don't think so. Doom came out in 2016 and used the id Tech 6 engine. Now they are using the id Tech 7 engine. Naturally, it would require something a little beefier to play. They are pushing tech forward, and that leads to needing more powerful hardware to get shiny things.

    That's why we game on PCs right?
    The thing is that this is for the minimum spec and I'm struggling to find any other game that isn't VR that has similar minimums. When I think about low quality settings, I think of more accessible hardware and the GTX 970 is still decent even if it is starting to get old. This is still being released on consoles including the switch. My original argument was against the mention of low minimum requirements, but I haven't personally seen any that have similar GPU requirements.
