itch.io also has a lot of games reduced to FOC, including things like Nuclear Throne: https://itch.io/c/757294/games-to-help-you-stay-inside
Where is the GOG collection of free games listed? Im on GOG and cant find it. I can go to all games and filter FREE, but then I could always have done that anyway. Most of the FREE 'games' appear to be DLCs which are free anyway and demos? The big graphic in the article for Hello Neighbor relates to the Alpha demo? Many of the 'true games' appear to be ones that would have run nicely on a 486
It seems to be a tad tricky to actually get the free games on GOG. When you put them into the cart and go to the checkout you're unable to pay and thus unable to complete the transaction.
FWIW I had put CAYNE and Postal: Classic & Uncut in my cart.
Think it's exactly that, they just put them all together. This was the original post: https://www.gog.com/news/stay_at_hom...om_our_catalog
I had found the button to progress unclickable, but it turned out that I had added a game or two that I already owned on GOG (which were indicated via easy to miss 'owned' tags by their names in the cart), so that's why it wasn't letting me process it. Removing the duplicate and then refreshing the checkout page allowed me to complete it (just choosing the 'Remove' options alone didn't).
If you are looking for free games right now please check out Child of Light from Ubisoft. Grab it after 1pm today (24th March) and before Saturday 28th March.
You need to make sure you haven't got items that require basegames missing from your library before being able to check out, it will say in the text above the list at checkout which ones you need to remove or buy the base game for.
