    TSMC confirms USA advanced semiconductor fab plans

    Construction is planned for 2021, with 5nm 20,000 WPM production commencing in 2024.

    Older products with smaller demands can benefit from "older" processes. Maybe they aren't planning to produce their cutting edge products in the USA.
