Hard to know if reliable or not, but there's nothing unexpected there - we all knew RT was very much in its infancy in the current gen cards. What's the bet that AMD have got the better balance between rasterisation and RT performance though?
As for 'time 4k to become a midrange standard', that made me laugh.
As usually the price will be the issue.
everything above 300 USD for video card will never be midrange standart...

That cooler looks hilarious! a 3 fan one is possible, but not a stretched version of the two fan one - no-one'd be able to fit it.
The 2080ti is ~40% ahead of a 1080ti in rasterization, so the claimed 50% isn't unusual for gen-to-gen improvements
Even a 2080ti can't hit 4k60 in all games - the 3080ti might manage it, but it won't be cheaper than the current X80ti cardOriginally Posted by kalniel

Hmm, Nvidia usually leads with the xx80 part, not a Ti.
Will be nice to see what go down, but my 5700XT will have to soldier on, even after i may get a 4K screen.
The case i am modifying, i dont think will have room for a 3 fan card like that nvidia may be :-)

I can't afford/justify it, I can make this statement before seeing the price.
My guess. Cheaper than 20xx series.
Nvidia has seen that AMD, offering a combination of better specs at a similar or even better price (e.g.
the 12c24t R9-3900x vs the 8c16t i9-9900K @ £/$ 500) has battered Intel (duh) and are not willing to see themselves in the same situation, therefore they have decided to simultaneously cut prices and raise performance across the board.
i would not be at all surprised if a 3080 cost as much as a 2070 did at launch, along with a serious game package.
