In no way should these be used as education tools, Ubisoft censors and alters history to accomdate its (Canadian) tastes.

Entertainment sure no problem, mess with history all you want but never proclaim it an educational tool.

Looked cool. And free. Thought the kids might find it interesting.

Then I saw a 50+gig install, and thought not.

    1950XT | 500gig,320,200,160
    Plextor DVD burner | Yamaha CRW-F1 CD-drive
    Thermaltake Xaser 3 w 480W FSP | X-fi fatal1ty

Things have moved on since I first joined...

Re: Ubisoft giveaway: Greek and Egyptian Discovery Tours go free

Any day of the week would i take a game with gameplay i love and modest graphics, but games i love are not trending and graphics and other in game "reality" seem to be the focus.
Even bloody indie makers dont even whip up a game i would like to play, they seem to be all hands on deck inventing the next wheel.

MY dream game would have no issues fitting on a blue ray, probably even a DVD too.

    lmao

What you mean is, "They changed the statues to have clamshells covering the breasts". Which, by the way, are not censored in the main game, so it's not "Canadian tastes" at all but what Ubisoft said it was. Ubisoft had developed the Education Tour versions as standalone products for use in schools, and some territories have issues with children seeing human nudity even in historical objects.

Now, I don't think that was a good call either. I think they should have told those territories that the item wouldn't be delivered to them and carried on with the rest of the world. However, to throw away the entire product over your right to see naked statues is absolutely hilarious. The rest of it is known for being very well researched and a great way to bring those cultures to life for schoolchildren. Whether the nipples are out is so minor.

THE CHILDREN! WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Isn't it weird how the world is okay with graphical representations of violence, but the second we see a nipple then the corruption of good morale, ethics and family values is eminent!

Absolutely agree. Soon we will have to cover paintings in the museum and after that we will need to colorize "whtie people" on paintings as it may be racial inappropriate.

Education tools should clearly show that something is censured, not slightly modified just to exclude the difficult part.

There were naked tits, you like it or not. And this is a significant part of culture of that time.
