The answer to the question, in my case, is absolutely not. But that's what I get for running an ancient FX based APU I'm afraid lol
Same here - just nope
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Heh, nobody said Crysis looks bad and needs a remaster... ;-D
Perhaps an updated question needs breaking in:
"Can it ray-trace Crysis?"
The game was only just ok years and years ago when it launched. It's not going to be any better now, even if they have managed to finally sort out the abysmal optimisation.
Maximum PoWA !!!!! Engage PC burning Mode !

Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
I think this is one of history's most poor ever optimized games for anything on the GFX front, and that is enough said, and it is also why the meme is really pointless about 'can it run crysis'
I didn't think it was that bad, but it did get a bit "rinse and repeat" after a while. A bit more thought and some of those levels could have been something epic
It was a game ahead of its time that's for sure, the Graphical fidelity was a combination of things that gave it the 'Wow' factor when it came out, The physic's of moving objects, the facial rendering. The tree/ water movement
it all added to making an immersive experience and thats what gamers wanted at the time. In many ways this was an inspiration for many developers including DICE to get to this quality of work in the Battlefield series. I had to wait 2 generations of GPU until i could play Crysis, in all its glory before the PC was in Flames lol - But boy`it was worth it.
Just checked out this review from Nov 2007 ! - good times.

Talking about remasters - I really Hope Bioware do a good Job on Mass effect.
I would rather prefer they do a ReMake of Mass effect with a recent engine, than a remaster.
The main thing is the original was meant to cripple PCs with future hardware catching up, if processors kept upping the frequencies rather than cores and the had 15ghz dual cores the original would run like a dream.
It makes sense to optimise it for current hardware, as an owner of the original it will need to either be free or cheap for me to get this.
