I wonder why they do not release chassis with a couple of 5 1/4 front bays anymore... I mean most of us nerds either want an additional BD player or some outlets for eg. additional USB 3.X features and more down that field... it is -10 points from here.

It's just as bad for people who don't want glass side panels as well imo.... trying to find a case without glass (something I don't want.... it's on the wrong side and that side can get 'direct' sunlight on it) is getting more and more difficult these days.

I am surprised that we (or I at least) have not yet seen big named cases that have thrown a touch screen fan controller with memory stick slots on it that you can colour match with your RGB, made removable for those who still want/need a drive with some kind of alternative space on top or at the side of the case to move the controller to if required.

airflow I'm guessing plus you can always use an external optical drive for those that need it

Fractal Design offer both of those options with their Define series cases.
Though they are not airflow focused designs, having an emphasis on noise reduction instead, so airflow does suffer.
Due to the same need for an optical drive bay, I am planning on the Define 7.
Re: Phanteks Eclipse P500A premium PC chassis announced
What interested me was the two system option. I currently have a mini-ITX system that I am thinking of upsizing (it's in a Silverstone RVZ01 case at the mo) to use as my NAS and I'm looking to get a new desktop to replace it. Having two systems in one case would be a game changer, but looking at the case manual, I can't see how this would work unless both systems were water cooled. There doesn't seem to be enough space for one tower cooler, let alone two. I could be wrong, but I just don't see how it would work.

Obviously I do know of some, fractal being the obvious one, but the offerings of glass versus metal side panels is considerably higher.

A couple have experiemented with optional drive bay cages, but both had them facing out the window instead of the front panel, for some reason.
I'd be happy if it was a forward-facing option, as I'm mainly interested in having a front panel I can customise, rather than space specifically for drive bays.

You could perhaps manage it with low profile coolers.
Friend of mine is getting an Enthoo 719 soon, which is meant to be good for dual builds. I'll let you know, once I get a proper look at it.

Keep the MITX system with whatever cooler you've got on it now? The second board doesn't get in the way of the main CPU cooler unless you put a tower cooler on the MITX system
