He's saying:
- RTX 3080 at least 40% faster than RTX 2080 Ti
- RTX 3080 priced close to RTX 2080 Ti
- RTX 3090 around 12-14K Yuan or around $2000 US
- GA104 GPUs will be priced similar to TU104 GPUs

More price increases??
Re: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 uses 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory
3090 seems to be the new name for the Titan then. Maybe scaling the Titan down in what it could achieve in regards to workstation/HPC workloads, as to reduce cannibalization of the quadro and above lines.

They will have a Titan above it. The leaked pricing if true, means they are pushing stuff up another tier. Having mining-like margins last year with no gaming, wasn't enough apparently!
Re: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 uses 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory
Hmm if the flagship is 12GB then I can't see the others being any more, even if GDDR6, so as not to confuse things. I'd expect a first round of 8-12GB cards then 16GB cards 3070 etc. coming out as a refresh later.
That does give AMD an opportunity to put more mem on their cards first time out though.. which always looks good on the box at least.

I think they don't care anymore - probably think they are Apple or something! :P
If the RTX3080 costs nearly £1000,I shudder to think how much an RTX3060 will cost. The RTX2060 only pushed up the edges of the mainstream pricing tiers. Makes me wonder whether the RTX3060 will be closer to £450. Because Nvidia doesn't like big pricing gaps. So £699 RTX3070! ;)
Hopefully this is not true..

I hope so too - at least your twitter poster thinks the 3070 should be the same so probably sub £400 (just)
Re: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 uses 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory
Glad, no HBM crap that can't be made fast enough for anything that sells in quantity, and always causing crash of your margins. It is too hard to make, and too costly at the same time. There is no point in consumer cards carrying HBM in any flavor unless you hate NET INCOME. Bandwidth means nothing if it's just wasted and HBM acts as an expensive buzzword at best for consumers.

Imagine a 3090Ti, well that is all we could do, imagine we could afford one.
Re: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 uses 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory
If the prices being banded about are anywhere near true, then I'll probably stick with my 1080ti for another year. This particular hobby is getting more expensive each year. Life...
Re: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 uses 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory
I think I'd rather buy myself a pedal bike and get fitter at those prices.

They say TU104 and GA104 based GPUs will cost the same. The problem is the RTX2080 uses the TU104 and is £700+ so near to £700 could be doable with a RTX3070.

If an RTX3060 is £400~£500,I can imagine that too. I don't think any of my gaming mates would spend that much on an RTX3060.

So you want to bet against technology getting cheaper over time? Good luck with that.
Re: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 uses 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory
I miss the good days.. I remember when the 680ish was sort of reasonable priced and the 690 was merely a pair of them merged together into one for roughly double the price.
Not really sure what started to happen after especially at the 980-1080 leap... PC is the best way of gaming, but gotta offer the better tech for it, for a much more reasonable price as what it used to be.
I hope Intel really can start to bust the nuts when they get into the market, unless they are dorks giving their own tech a bonus for running their mobos and CPUs only... but would then be seeing that Green and Red team would shake hands.

Literally the crypto craze and the demand outstripping supply causing a boom in pricing. Then when people were moaning but still buying at that price, why lower again?
AMD needs to compete at perf with Nvidia at a lower price to start a price war.

I think you answered your own question there :) What happened was lack of competition at the high end. I just hope AMD can finally provide some proper competition with Nvidia's 30x graphics cards. Or, maybe the competition will come from next gen consoles. Sadly I don't see Intel being competitive in the GPU space in the short to mid term. Of course I'd be very happy to be proved wrong!
