Obscene considering how they treat their customers
Given the tough times and Apple’s tax-dodging antics... would be nice to see them doing CSR (Corporate & Social Responsibility) work, especially in the Countries they screw over the most on tax e.g. the UK and much of Europe for starters.
And people still act as if apple deserves 30% from every developer.
Not too shabby for the least innovative tech company on the planet, is it
if you have investments like pensions that have apple stock it's a great thing. i wonder how many people moaning about apple and stuff like this who have pension funds boosted by this that they don't know about
other thing is, whilst apple get's the headlines, there must be a bunch of other companies who have similar boosts, giving similar boosts to investments and pensions but not getting the headlines
More or less matches (in reverse) the repeatability curve of their product... Who knew that getting people addicted to your technology before gouging them by charging the same to repair as buy new would make you obscenely rich...
And yet people keep buying their products
People do have a choice though - no one's forcing them to use Apple products Though I do admit that Google are not above criticism of course. But there is always the option of not using Google products either.
Yeah, the Apple loyalty and fanaticism is crazy. Former colleague who was talking about saving for a house drops £1k on a new iPhone, old one still worked fine. Couldn't work it out. When you're in and happily throwing money at them every year to have the latest tech then the customer support isn't bad tbh, but as soon as you're out of warranty $$$$$

I am an not a professor business accounting expert but these wall-street guys overvalue a company based on speculation. SO HOW DO YOU VALUE A COMPANY??? if you were to buy apple today how many years will it take to get your capital back??
I find $1 trillion in 2 years to be incredibly obscene. Most companies are out to make money and the thing is that other companies follow. Google has 30% too obviously and you have little alternative to either, but beyond that, flagship phones have risen to crazy levels while getting praise.
