Well yeah... Farcebook need to somehow claw themselves back from the hatred caused by their insistence on FB accounts for Oculus devices.

This is not good. Corporate warfare is not supposed to happen until after I have all my bio-implant enhancements and high performance firearms.

Can't see how Apple can stop this, they say that their rules apply to apps in their store and cant show info thats not relevant to the user, however Facebook isnt selling anything, all they are doing it letting people know where "THEIR" money is going...

Re: Apple blocks Facebook app update that highlights in-app 'tax'

As much as I'm no fan of facebook, a 2 trillion dollar company such as Apple, with over 200 billion in cash in the bank, can afford to sacrifice their 30% cut to help out the 'little guys' during a pandemic... it's not like it was even permanent, it was for 1 year....

I also find it insulting that Apple feels that highlighting the fact that these small companies will be losing 30% of the charge is irrelevant, as a small business owner you need to know EVERYTHING to ensure you're profitable etc. Personally I see the fact you can't highlight the 'cost' of using the platform as pretty shady, it's almost like Apple doesn't want anyone to know how much they take....

I do however like the 'opt-in' for tracking (I'm no Saracen but I do like 'privacy' features).... the amount of tracking on our personal lives is far too intrusive and in all honesty does need to be reigned in A LOT.

How about making international laws about stuff like this, without government regions of approval the items would be rendered useless as it is, it is fair and square and would prevent companies from screwing over the customers.

There was a big thing about banks and other lenders "hiding" what actual costs were, why are Apple above this?

While Facebook are clearly worse than Satan, Apple are just as bad, maybe worse.

It's no secret Apple break a host of legislation, consumer privacy rights and more.

It's difficult for others to find evidence, with Apple holding all the cards. They also happen to have a huge amount of cash so can literally do as they please, completely unpunished.

Well, it is good against monopoly and the likes, also a good way to bash a company like apple and facebook, because if their shareholders start to lose money due to bans and because am not being reasonable in whatever they do enforcing people to pay too much more because they can, then yes am all in for it.

But maybe you like the Donald Trump way where you just ban certain foreign products because they can competete hard with major brands and this benefit the customers on a better price overall no matter what product they buy... then by all means be my guest?

Trump and people before him, made sure any proper regulation and taxation of these companies,on a per country basis got massively watered down,as they protect their companies to the hilt via any means possible. That means bans and trade sanctions against competitors. Compare that to here, where we just open the door, and make sure our own companies/publically owned companies get double screwed over by these lot.
