Ah, there's the 1100 dollar gpu
3060 for me, or NAVI, depending on how the reviews lean..
for the price 3090 should have been HBM2
3080 seems like the only logical purchase
maybe, but HBM2 would just increase the price further, and also complicate production as well as overclocking due to the HBM's nature
let alone that the GDDR6 and X are co-developed with micron and nvidia (far more lucrative deal for them) and hey.. techncially GDDR6 is faster than HBM2 if opted for 384bit bus, and G6X just makes it even beter, so why downgrade to HBM2?
am not convinced yet... also I do not have a PCI-E 4.0 slot yet. we will see around same time next year what the companies can offer, and if they actually dumped the prices down quite a bit as well for 'high-end' I wonder how these cards run with the features off as in raw performance at 4K.
What a beast - does anyone know why no retailers have the 3080 FTW3 / FTW3 Ultra - is this a card thats coming down the line? I was hoping to go with this directly, but looks like I'll be forced to get an IC3.
