Lower than I was expecting in all honesty but I still think we'll need slightly higher specs over recommended for a 'quality experience'.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PC system requirements revealed

I find all these requirements a bit pointless to be honest,

    I have above the recommended but i doubt i could play it on anything like high settings because i dont play at 1080p (or whatever res they pick for these) i like 4k, so most games i have to run at low settings;

It would be nice if they started doing a recommended config for each res, 1080, 1440 and 4k

I believe they've also said they're going to release further requirements in regards to RTX/4K etc soon

Why recommend a 3200G when the integrated graphics component isn't going to be used?

A lot of newish budget gaming machines use it as its a cheap decent CPU. I suspect it you look for a gaming PC on a budget you'd probably find that or the Athlon 3000 with 2 less cores.

Personally I'm pleased to see this is using DirectX 12 DXR rather than Nvidia's RTX - Lets hope this is the first of many as I do all I can not to buy Nvidia. Now I just need to play the witcher 3 past the first area!

I don't understand what you mean here. Nvidia's RTX Real Time Ray Tracing cores use DX12 DXR. RTX isn't a technology built into games that only RTX cards can use.

Thank god, if we only got these requirements without any information about raytracing I would have been super disappointed.

Though recommended settings only paint part of a picture, wish they did specs + expected fps scenarios, heres hoping nvidia has got the AI trained up well on a big sample from 2077 so DLSS provides good results just like in Control.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PC system requirements revealed

These "Requirements" don't tell us anything about how this will perform. Is it like 15 FPS at 1080p low settings? It's pretty silly to just throw parts like that out with no context...

From what I gather its 1080p. Not sure what the FPS is though, but I assume 30FPS?

    Edit!!

Playing it very safe with those recommended specs I think, probably for 1080p though they don't explicitly say.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PC system requirements revealed

I was used to my rig being under the recommended requirements, but being under the minimum is new for me

Hoping I can get my hands on a new GPU before the launch, that can actually give the game some justice. Otherwise i’ll just be crawling along at 1080p!

    FPS isn't mentioned.
I guess 1080p makes sense, considering the latest Steam Hardware survey shows something like 65% of users having that as their primary display resolution. I guess 30fps would be the bare minimum "playable" fps? Not sure I'd want to play anything at 1080p or 30fps though....

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PC system requirements revealed

My first gen Lynnfield i7 tells me it's finally time to upgrade.... so although the specs aren't too bad, I think I might as well wait until I have a machine to really make the most of it. I've waited this long, so I can easily wait a little bit longer!

As for main story length, the longer the better for me, so it's a shame they've made it shorter. In the Witcher 3, I literally completed every last task and visited every single location in the main game and all the DLC's. When something is quality, it is worth the time!

As long as you're not expecting to run it with 4x MSAA on high/ultra, I reckon you'll be fine with that setup.
