So bored of RGB now. Isn't there anything else pointless on the horizon?

Perhaps hydraulics, like those cars that bounced up and down at traffic lights.

Or rather than light pollution, every component could have a small speaker. You could make an SSD make a chirp noise every time it is accessed, so you can pretend you have a hard disk in there

I was going to sand my eyes but then thought these *might* have a use in SFF sandwich layout cases with a transparent side panel where the PSU is mounted sideways with the fan facing the side panel and you wanted it to light up. A bit niche but I can see certain people wanting it. Now I'm going to go sand my eyes.

Good God! Is there anything left in the case that hasn't had an led stuck to it yet?

Huh, so this is it right ? Is there anything left to RGB ?

I'm not a fan of it personally; while I do really like the look of RGB setups when someone else owns em, I just hate the idea for myself. But ya now with this people are gonna be able to fully coordinate all lighting in their cases.

So so sick of RGB. Plain colours are so much better but even that I'm tired of now.

I think it has all been done; SSD, motherboard, CPU cooler, RAM, video card, fans.

It is an increasing effort on new builds to turn all this crud off, as none of the users seem to want it.

My PSU is covered by a shroud and even then the fan points to the floor

I don't believe cables have had the RGB effect yet.

    We need RGB motherboard standoffs.

Re: Corsair launches its first aRGB power supplies, CX-F RGB Series

As a 'professional' who doesn't want or need rgb lighting it's getting incredibly hard to find a well designed case that doesn't include glass because it's basically designed around 'lighting up the room' with colours.... I don't want that sort of rubbish, it's affects colour accuracy when I'm working, not to mention imo just looks tacky in most cases.

Please manufacturers, think of the users who don't want rgb when you design your cases/parts, or at least offer up a non rgb and/or non glass side panel options for your cases...

Can't you just turn the lights off ? I have a glass sided case with lots of rgb, fans, mainboard, bits and pieces but if I am doing graphics work I just turn it all off.

I think most 'professional' users will use system builders rather than build it themselves these days. Dell etc. can source their own non-RGB stuff. System building is probably becoming more for those who do want to express themselves just like car modders etc.

Checking the specs Corsair says that these PSUs also offer a Zero RPM mode for idling / low load situations.
So, the point of having an RGB fan at zero RPM? I can't recall the last time my PSU fan actually turned on (aside from testing it worked).
