How many production lines are producing this GPU? 1000 a day doesn't sound like much.

That picture is literally all of the chips going to the AIB partners...

Re: Nvidia RTX 3070's GPU pictured in factory validation line

Isn't it 1000 (well, 945) per batch, not day?

Re: Nvidia RTX 3070's GPU pictured in factory validation line

I don't believe it's real. Fake news. It can't be the nvidia factory: no little green men moving things around. Plus those are just the chips. That's a lot of shipping, assembly, testing, packaging and reshipping to happen between now and launch date later this month. Given all of those are essential, which is the one most likely to be squeezed/omitted? The only one that they can get away with: testing. That and build quality control. Hmm yeah, I'll wait until next year I think.

So about 24000 units worldwide (maybe if lucky) by the launch date then? You can bet that there wasn't much going on previously due to the pushed 3080/3090 launch. Those bots are going to have fun competing with each other.

Sadly, that's the nearest ordinary buyers are going to come to seeing the 3070 for a VERY long time.

They've supposedly been piling these up for a bit longer, and pushed the date to add more. Titan's first run was 100K and sold out in days IIRC (literally the 1st one). 30K this month, probably the same last month. Who knows how long it's been going on for this launch. Why would green men be running TSMC's fab? I don't expect to see red men either I think you'd need a bigger picture to know anything at all really, but trigger on buddy...LOL.

You have no idea how much of that stuff has already been done to thousands or more right? Do you work at TSMC and are looking at production lines etc? You work at a board maker etc? Comments on quality over what? A picture? No, you are the fake news. NV already said piling these up far more than 3080/3090. That said, I'd expect both AMD and NV to sell out, because people can afford them, despite the price whiners. People that work, don't need to whine about the price usually (nor have much time to whine...ROFL). It's the lazy that whine instead of improving their life to avoid it. Redirect all that whining into improving yourself, or at least start trading stocks so all these parts are free anyway... Tell AMD to stop making consoles, there will be more silicon for gpu wafers for all ~450mm^2 dies are wasted on $100 console apus. Those should all be 3070's etc right? Stop chasing POOR people and chase MARGIN products AMD.

Funny, but I read their post as sarcasm. you seem to have taken it rather literally. Maybe you're the one who needs to improve themselves instead of ranting at someone over what was clearly a joke. Or are you paid by NVidia and don't like people having a dig at your current supply issues? They're on the record as admitting as much btw - their own CEO IIRC from what I've read over this weekend.
