Online are a huge part, but maybe the way things are heading, maybe it would be best to just have walk in buys.
At least here most online shops you can also go and buy at the door if need be, something like this i would order online, and then jump into my car with a wallet full of cash and go get / pay for my stuff.
With some things even inside this stamp sized country i just can not wait on the mailman, so i will gladly spend the gasoline for the 2 X 45 KM drive to proshop.

He's just a tad louder than the 1 clapping hand...
LTT - gotta love Linus - reckons we Europeans have been screwed over much more than Americans because they'd complain more... and in Americas they have been only able to fulfil a bit under 10% of orders. Now that's just so poor it's laughable - and if it continues NV will be bitten, badly....
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
There are some fairly substantial price differences for the same product at different e-tailers in the UK.
Just picking a few of these at random just out of curiosity https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/products...t=price&page=1.
Looks like OCUK are giving it a go to get as much as they can for the cards. Shame on them.
I was hoping that there would be good stock of 3070s so not so many people would be up for buying AMD when they are launched. (which is what I'm interested in getting).Oh well never mind.
Spent a very frustrating ~1hour on scan with a 3070 FE in my basket but unable to buy it as the website was crashed to oblivion... and lets face it - their website is a far cry from "1 click" purchases, gotta do the CAPACHA things and go through several pages of loading.
My bank balance says I got a card, but thats pending, and speaking to someone at scan via chat they said they can't confirm or deny yet and I have to wait for an email tomorrow to see.
Not the best experience to say the least...
For those of us in the pre-order queue for 3070s, any idea how long we should expect to wait to get the email with our queue position? How long did it take for the 3080s?
FWIW I got an FE edition through Nvidia/Scan at about 1:05PM when the buy button went live. Took a while on some pages but I'm guessing /hoping it will be here tomorrow.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
I had the money for a 3090 but all that I found available were the Palit 3090's and I am NOT paying over 1,500 pounds for a card that doesn't even have warranty support from the place I buy it from, having to send it to Hong Kong instead if anything goes wrong, what the hell...
Tried instead for a 3070 version, at least it's not as much of a hit as a 3090 if I have to go through the Hong Kong RMA rubbish, and that's what really worries me about the Palits cards, little to no warranty support even in Europe as a whole. The cost and hassle and time involved with a turnaround on a bad card going to and from HK is a joke.
What is the best way for people to order the 3070 now? is it just to preorder on retailers and just wait for the stock to trickle down?
