Re: Maxon Cinebench Release 23 published with M1 SoC support
I used to use Cinema 4D back in the day and it cost like £400 then, now its £3300 :/ or £94 a month for a year. Dear me how times are changed.
I am currently learning Blender now, has come on leaps and bounds since the interface change and comes with features top end apps would love to have. Ie fluid/smoke/fire simulation.

8251 points Ryzen 7 2700 whilst working!
Re: Maxon Cinebench Release 23 published with M1 SoC support
NOT an M1 result
There are supposedly Apple development kit scores leaked, so not the M1 something rather slower but still interesting.

You mean the stuff that would identify who had broken their NDA that says they must not benchmark the dev kit?

I would suggest looking into Houdini for those things. The free Apprentice version is the full version of the software for free (with resolution restrictions) and an indie license is around 300$ for a year.
Re: Maxon Cinebench Release 23 published with M1 SoC support
I have used it before and its obviously good at what it does but I don't really want to start learning something else as well. At least blender is free with no restrictions so going to continue with that.

I gather objects can be exported from Blender to a 3D printer, another thing to learn if I ever get enough free time.

Yes that's correct, it really has come on leaps and bounds and sports an impressive array of import/export options
