I wonder if it narks the green team having to put an AMD CPU in it?

Makes you wonder if this announcement was released to co-incide with AMD's release of the MI 100. ("The worlds fastest HPC accelerator")
I'm sure the leather jacket would say it's entirely co-incidental!

I would imagine a beast multiuser workstation like this running Linux, so no

I'm sure they are working on an ARM chip that can do the task.
Otherwise, I'm sure they would rather use AMD than Intel. Have AMD ever been in a lawsuit tussle with Nvidia? Can't remember one; there is lots of tribal screaming between the two fanboy bases but ISTM the two companies have been pretty much just honest competition for each other with only mild shenanigans.
Intel, OTOH, have tried to shut Nvidia out of their ecosystem in the past, I wouldn't trust them still for the future.
