Nothing. That's the privilege of the newly redundant. No income = no expenditure. Thanks for procrastinating Sunak I'd still be employed if you hadn't dilly dallied extending furlough. Chump.
Same as all the other Black Fridays - Absolutely nothing.
It's mostly shops selling off old stock on the cheap, while others actually mark prices up.

well I did buy something. Drum roll.... toilet paper. A man's gotta wipe his backside afterall.
Everything is either OOS or some vendors have been putting their prices up for Black Friday (on the day).
Anyone who waits to BF to buy has either missed all the deals already or is just gettung conned.
A bit of a "meh" non-event. You're lucky if the BF price is even a historical low.
CAT-THE-FIFTH (27-11-2020)
As is usual, none of the good stuff go on sale but there are decent savings to be had for Christmas presents such as socks, toys, glassware etc. Tech related stuff: I bought an Insta360 camera early in the week with a small discount and today begrudgingly caved in and got a Oculus Quest 2 (not on sale or anything). I'll try and use a fake facebook account or something and see how that goes.
A humidifier, a USB C cable, an eye mask, and other bits and bobs. None of which were anything to do with Black Friday.
I did also snag an Echo Dot (3rd Gen) at £29, including two Phillips bulbs normally about £12 each. At effectively £6 or so, the Dot was too cheap to pass up. But .... Black Friday? More to do with clearing 3rd Gen stock now 4th Gen versions are out, I'd think. And yes, I would have bought a couple more bulbs anyway.
Am I massively excited about my Black Friday catch? Ho-hum. Yawn.![]()
A lesson learned from PeterB about dignity in adversity, so Peter, In Memorium, "Onwards and Upwards".
I bought a Samsung LTE Tablet to replace the cheap crappy Chinese one that I use as the head unit in my car.
I bought an 8TB WD My Book Hard drive to have a go at shucking. Why do internal drives cost more than external ones? Surely the bill of materials is higher with an externally powered and enclosed drive. Was rather hoping to get a new 3900x for under £400. I can wait.
Nothing, it has been totally rubbish. Only one thing i found i actually wanted and it sold out before I could grab one so stuff it.
The only tech related BF item was Shadow of the Tomb Raider, definitive Edition for a smidgen over £11. The rest included, but not BF related, 200m of polypropylene twine and a car windscreen cleaner (for my father to clean the condensation off the inside of his car and retain the insulation for his shed while he screws the internal panels on) and a couple of art books for me, it's an addiction (Magnetic Storm, I could immediately flip it for a small profit if I was so inclined, & a hard to get US only copy of Fantastic Paintings of Frazetta).
I did come close to getting a Pixel 4a for £319 but I just can't stomach paying that much for a phone... though there aren't that many sub 6" Android phones these days (and I'll be damned if I'm going to give any money to Apple).
I am familiar with the concept, but i do not buy into it.
It will be a few months before the piggy bank are up to big boy shopping levels.
