I hate the fact the X scale on the die density is equidistant but the scale on the interface improvement is not

Something else to bare in mind: DDR5 will be stupidly expensive when it first comes out and will not offer much more performance than DDR4 in the real world (apart from maybe in APU's)

If past transitions are anything to go by the early performance differences will probably be negligible, we reached peak latency sometime ago and since then it's been about increasing bandwidth and lowering voltages.Quote:
